I am Chairperson Kim Gwi-geun, Speaker for the second half of the 9th Gunpo City Council (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2026).

We will do our utmost to realize 'A People's Assembly within the citizens!', an assembly that prioritizes people's livelihoods by reaching out to the citizens.

All nine members of the 9th City Council, remembering that we are 'public servants of the citizens,' will repay the authority given to us by the citizens to check, monitor, and improve the administration through diligent council activities such as proposing alternatives and engaging in field politics.

We will faithfully fulfill our role in guiding and advising the executive branch to ensure that Gunpo City's administration is conducted solely for our citizens. We will do our best to realize a people-oriented administration by listening to citizens' opinions.

By pooling the wisdom of our nine Gunpo City Council members, we will ensure that our council activities, for you, our citizens, become a guidepost for Gunpo City's administration that empowers the lives and livelihoods of our citizens.

The 9th Gunpo City Council will fulfill its responsibilities and roles to ensure the smooth realization of significant local issues, such as promoting the integrated development of Geumjeong Station, designating a pilot district for the maintenance of aging planned cities, actively supporting redevelopment and reconstruction of balanced growth of new and old urban centers, and restoring Sanbon Stream to highlight local characteristics.

In particular, we will conduct field-centered council activities to ensure that citizens' voices are adequately reflected in the administration while resolving local issues. We will strive to make you feel that Gunpo City Council members are always with you when you look around.

The Gunpo City Council will continue to reach out to you, our citizens.
We will always prioritize 'the lives and livelihoods of citizens'.
'People first! The field-oriented council that listens!'
This is the standard pursued by the 9th Gunpo City Council.
